If you’re a student, you know that Reading Week went by just a little bit ago. Every year, those seven days are invaluable for me to destress and give myself a break. This time, travel outside Halifax just wasn’t an option for me but I still wanted to have a quick getaway with my girlfriends, and have a fun night in.

Whenever I do collaboration posts and blogs, I love supporting local businesses. For this experience, I reached out to Worthington Place Boutique Hotels with locations in Halifax and Musquodoboit Harbour. Their hotel in the city is conveniently located just off Spring Garden Road, and on Sunday afternoon, Samama, Nami, Jenn, Becca, Sarah and I checked into our 2-bedroom apartment for one night.

The apartment was GORGEOUS – designed with Turkish-themed textiles, new appliances, and various nooks where you can either chat with friends or meditate and relax. As soon as we got there, we popped open a bottle of bubbly, dressed to the nines, and went right next door for a sushi dinner! The rest of the night was just the time we needed to relax. We hadn’t realized that we had been so caught up with our lives, it had been forever since we had just taken a breather to spend some quality time together. It was board games and snacks galore, followed by a lazy morning before check-out.

I’m always looking for memorable experiences that don’t break the bank, and this night made me realize that you don’t need to spend a ton of dollars to have an absolutely unforgettable experience away from home. If you want to see more of our stay and what we got up to that night, you can check out “Worthington” on my InstaStory Highlights! I definitely recommend a staycation for your next weekend off!
